El proceso de envejecimiento provoca cambios en el sistema inmune que afectan su funcionamiento y desarrollo. Estos cambios pueden manifestarse desde la linfopoyesis hasta la respuesta que orquesta el sistema inmune frente a determinada enfermedad o agente infeccioso.
